Registration

The Congress Registration fee allows the participants to attend:

•All the Plenary Sessions as well as the Paper Sessions of their choice (be aware that there will be simultaneously scheduled Papers Sessions);

•The lunches on the 4th, 5th and 6th plus all coffee breaks listed in the program;

•An aperitif on the first day and a cocktail dinner on the second day;

•An afternoon of visits to constructively interesting sites;

•The closing ceremony.

•You will also receive a copy of the Congress Proceedings.

There are 3 categories of registration fees identified in the table below. These categories take into account the World Bank List of Economies in establishing different levels of payment for those participants coming from countries ranked low on the list versus those from countries ranked higher. The rates also reflect the status of the speaker, with doctoral students benefiting from a reduction and having the possibility to apply for grants.

Registration fees [EUR]:

Income* registration until 15 Feb 2012 registration after 15 Feb 2012
high 400 470
others 300 370
students 200 270

*see: World Bank List of Economies

The Early Registration deadline is extended until 20 February 2012, midnight CET.

In order to be included in the publication, you must be registered by 20 February.

For items with multiple authors, the payment of one registration fee is sufficient for publishing the paper in the Proceedings. However, this only permits one person to attend the Congress and its events (including coffee breaks, meals, tours, closing ceremony) and gives you the right to only one copy of the Proceedings.

In the event that several authors wish to participate in the Congress, each person who wishes to attend must register individually.

For accompanying persons or persons who wish to audit the conference, and are not presenting a paper, they will pay the same registration fee and enjoy the same benefits as those presenting. The only exception is that, (for these two categories of attendees only), you can choose to not receive a copy of the Proceedings, and pay 100€ less in registration fees.

For PhD students who are presenting papers at the Congress, in addition to the discounted registration fees posted on the website, we offer the opportunity to apply for grants. These are meant to help those, who can justify need, to reduce the cost of participating in the Congress through the waving or partial reduction of the registration fees. These grants are funded by, among others, the British Construction History Society. The request, demonstrating need of assistance, must be sent before 2 January 2012 (midnight CET) to Robert Carvais ([email protected]). For those PhD students who submit grant applications, we ask them to wait to register until they have a response from the Organizing Committee regarding their application.
